1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Voice Ledger collects, uses, and handles your data when you use our Android app.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account and identity data

  • Google Sign-In account information from Firebase Auth (such as name, email, photo).
  • Subscription metadata in Firestore shop profile: subStartAt, subEndAt, isActive.
  • Device push token: fcmToken.

2.2 Ledger transaction data

When you save a transaction, we store data in Firestore under your shop scope.

  • invoiceType, status, title
  • amount, partyName
  • quantity, unit, rate
  • createdAt

2.3 Voice and transcript processing

  • Microphone input is used only when you start voice entry.
  • Speech is processed by Android speech recognition services.
  • Transcript text is sent to Gemini for transaction parsing.
  • The app does not save raw audio files to Firestore.

2.4 Diagnostics

  • Crash reports may be collected through Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability.

3. Permissions We Use

  • RECORD_AUDIO for voice entry.
  • INTERNET for Firebase and AI/speech services.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS for reminders and summaries.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED and SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM for scheduled reminders.

4. How We Use Data

  • Authenticate your account.
  • Process voice input into structured ledger entries.
  • Store and show your sales, due, purchase, and expense records.
  • Send daily reminder and summary notifications.
  • Detect and fix app crashes and reliability issues.

5. Third-Party Services

Voice Ledger uses third-party providers that may process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Messaging, Crashlytics).
  • Google Gemini API (transcript parsing).
  • Android speech recognition service.

6. Data Retention and Control

  • Your ledger data remains in your Firestore records until you delete/reset it.
  • Reset features inside the app can clear ledger records.
  • You may stop using voice entry at any time by not granting microphone access.

7. Security

We use Firebase services and standard security practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve protections.

8. Children's Privacy

Voice Ledger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
